Karma-Sannyāsa Yoga · Verse 25
लभन्ते ब्रह्मनिर्वाणमृषयः क्षीणकल्मषाः | छिन्नद्वैधा यतात्मानः सर्वभूतहिते रताः
labhante brahma-nirvāṇaṃ ṛṣayaḥ kṣīṇa-kalmaṣāḥ | chinna-dvaidhā yatātmānaḥ sarva-bhūta-hite ratāḥ
The seers attain extinction in Brahman, of destroyed impurities, of severed duality, of controlled Self, devoted to the welfare of all beings.
Characteristics of those who attain Brahman. Ṛṣayaḥ — seers, visionaries — labhante — attain — brahma-nirvāṇam — extinction in Brahman.
Qualities: kṣīṇa-kalmaṣāḥ — destroyed impurities; chinna-dvaidhāḥ — severed duality; yatātmānaḥ — controlled Self; sarva-bhūta-hite ratāḥ — devoted to the welfare of all beings. Note: liberation includes active compassion, not selfish withdrawal from the world.
