चतुर्विधा भजन्ते मां जनाः सुकृतिनोऽर्जुन | आर्तो जिज्ञासुरर्थार्थी ज्ञानी च भरतर्षभ

catur-vidhā bhajante māṃ janāḥ sukṛtino 'rjuna | ārto jijñāsur arthārthī jñānī ca bharatarṣabha

Oh Arjuna! Four types of virtuous people worship Me: the afflicted, the inquirer, the one who desires wealth, and the knower, oh bull of the Bharata dynasty!

The sukṛtinaḥ (doers of good karma) are divided into four according to motivation: ārta (afflicted, seeks relief), jijñāsu (inquirer, seeks to know), arthārthī (desires artha — wealth/purpose), jñānī (knower, sage).

All bhajante (worship, cultivate relationship with) Kṛṣṇa. The difference is spiritual maturity, not moral rectitude.
