Yo ca dhīro naro bhikkhu, abhāri dibbaṁ ānubhāvaṁ; sa ve satthā pavuccati, yo dukkhassa papaccayā.
The wise monk who has let fall the burden and attains divine powers, that one is called teacher, who understands suffering and its cause.
Dibbaṁ ānubhāvaṁ — divine powers (iddhi). When the burden falls, clarity allows seeing what was previously hidden. Powers are not the goal, they are consequence of liberation.
Satthā — teacher, one who shows the way. Not one who knows for knowing’s sake, but one who knows suffering and its cause, who can guide others toward liberation.
