The monk who desires retreat, who dwells in retreat; that monk is pacified, becoming and non-becoming have ceased.
Sītibhūto — pacified, cooled. Sīta is cool, not hot with passions. The monk does not boil with desire, does not boil with aversion.
Bhavābhavaparikkhayo — the cessation of becoming and non-becoming. Both sides of the cycle extinguish simultaneously.
