Yo ca nibbindati bhavesu, bhavataṇhakkhayāyati; Yo virāgo amho arī, sa ve passati bhayaṃ.

Yo ca nibbindati bhavesu, bhavataṇhakkhayāyati; yo virāgo amho arī, sa ve passati bhayaṃ.

Whoever wearies of becomings, of thirst for becoming; whoever is dispassionate, without passion, that one sees danger.

Nibbindati — wearies, becomes disenchanted. Disenchantment (nibbidā) is not depression, it is seeing clearly that the wheel leads nowhere new.

Amho arī — without passion, without enmity. Dispassion (virāga) is balance: neither attraction nor repulsion.
