O Agni, lead us by the good path to prosperity, you who know all ways, O god. Remove from us the sin that leads us astray. We offer you the most reverent word of adoration.

The final verse of the Īśopaniṣad is a prayer to Agni, the sacred fire, completing the arc that began with Īśa and passed through Sūrya.

Agne naya supathā rāye asmān — O Agni, lead us by the good path (supatha) to rāya (prosperity, wealth, fullness). The good path is not merely moral but the direct path toward realization.

Viśvāni deva vayunāni vidvān — you who know all paths (vayuna), O god. Agni, present in every sacrificial fire, in the sun, in the digestive fire, knows all paths because it is everywhere.

Yuyodhi asmaj juhurāṇam enaḥ — remove from us the deceptive sin (enas), that which makes us deviate (juhurāṇa). This is not sin as moral transgression but as deviation from the straight path, as distraction from truth.

Bhūyiṣṭhāṃ te namaḥ uktiṃ vidhema — we offer you the most abundant word of adoration, the most reverent. The Upaniṣad ends in humility and devotion.

After the bold declaration so’ham asmi (I am That), the text concludes with a prayer. The highest knowledge does not eliminate devotion but deepens it. Knowing that we are one with the divine does not generate arrogance but reverence before the mystery.

Oṃ pūrṇam adaḥ pūrṇam idaṃ — thus concludes the Īśopaniṣad.
