संयम
Samyama
samadhiThe integrative practice of the three final aṅga-s of yoga. In YS 3.4, samyama is defined as the joint application of dhāraṇā (concentration), dhyāna (meditation), and samādhi upon a single object, as the unbroken continuity of attention. Samyama generates vibhūti-s (powers or realizations) depending on the object to which it is applied: upon the body, upon space, upon the sun, upon the moon. It is the central technique of the third chapter of the Yoga Sūtras. See dharana, dhyana and samadhi.
