सङ्ग

Saṅga

concepto

Attachment, association, clinging. In the Bhagavad Gītā, saṅga designates mental fixation upon the fruits of action and upon sensory objects, the root of duḥkha (suffering). Saṅga freezes the freedom of action and chains the actor to the cycle of expected results. The Yoga Sūtras link it as a condition that feeds the kleśa-s. Overcoming saṅga does not imply indifference but action from fullness, not from lack. See raja and klesha.
