Saṃnyāsa

Renunciation. The fourth āśrama within the varṇāśrama dharma system. In the Bhagavad Gītā, Kṛṣṇa distinguishes between saṃnyāsa (renouncing actions) and tyāga (renouncing the fruits of action), favoring the latter as the path of yoga in action.
