Chapter 20 · Verse 12
क्व प्रवृत्तिर्निर्वृत्तिर्वा क्व मुक्तिः क्व च बन्धनम्
kva pravṛttirnirvṛttirvā kva muktiḥ kva ca bandhanam | kūṭasthanirvibhāgasya sva
In chapter 20 (The absolute state), verse 12 deepens the teaching of non-duality. In Advaita Vedānta philosophy, this verse of the Aṣṭāvakra Gītā reveals that freedom is inherent to the Self and requires no acquisition.
