Karma Yoga · Verse 26

न बुद्धिभेदं जनयेदज्ञानां कर्मसङ्गिनाम् | योजयेत्सर्वकर्माणि विद्वान् युक्तः समाचरन्

na buddhi-bhedaṃ janayed ajñānāṃ karma-saṅginām | yojayet sarva-karmāṇi vidvān yuktaḥ samācaran

He should not disturb the conviction of the ignorant attached to action; the sage, acting with yoga, should establish all in action.

Duty of the sage toward the ignorant. Buddhi-bheda — division/confusion in understanding — is harm that the sage must avoid causing.

The ajñānām — ignorant — need the framework of ritual action. Destroying their faith without providing a superior alternative is spiritual violence. The yukta — integrated — establishes example, not confusion. Teaching requires discernment of what the student is ready for.
