Jñāna Yoga · Verse 14

Actions do not stain me, nor do I desire the fruits of action. Whoever thus knows me, is not bound by actions.

Immunity of the Lord and of one who knows Him. Limṇanti — stain, contaminate — do not apply to the transcendent.

Na me spṛhā — I have no desire — indicates fullness without lack. Knowing this (iti mām abhijānāti) produces freedom: na badhyate — is not bound — by karmabhiḥ (actions). Correct knowledge transforms karma; the sage’s actions are na karma — non-action — though they appear as activity.
