Tṛtīyopadeśaḥ (Mudrā) · Verse 17
कालं जयति मृत्युं च तृष्णां जयति योगवित् | दिव्यदेहं तु सिद्धः स्यात्सर्वव्याधिविनाशनम् ||
kālaṃ jayati mṛtyuṃ ca tṛṣṇāṃ jayati yogavit | divyadehaṃ tu siddhaḥ syāt sarvavyādhivināśanam ||
Further benefits of Mahābandha: mastery over time and death, transcendence of desire (tṛṣṇā), and obtainment of the “divine body” (divya-deha).
The “divine body” is not a metaphor. It refers to the purified subtle body, radiant with health and energy. It is the body of the siddhas, free from disease and decay.
The conquest of desire is perhaps the most important benefit. Not the suppression of desire but its transcendence — desire no longer controls the practitioner.
