Śivasaṃhitā 4.82

The liṅgacālana — ‘the movement of the liṅga’ — is a technical component of advanced Vajrolī describing the oscillation of the phallus during the practice of retention: it is not the movement of ordinary coitus but a series of rhythmic contractions stimulating the activation of mūlādhāra and the ascent of prāṇa. The physical action is the support for a subtler energetic action.

Svakaṃ binduṃ sambandhya — ‘having retained, related one’s own bindu’ — uses the gerund of sam-bandh- (to bind together, to relate, to combine), the same radical as bandha. Retention of bindu is here the technical prerequisite before movement: first establish control, then act. This order is the general principle of all advanced Vajrolī practice: first master retention, then use the retained energy actively.

The final clause — obtaining all siddhis while enjoying all pleasures — crystallizes the chapter’s central principle: the practice of Vajrolī does not extract the being from the world but transforms their relationship with the world. Pleasures (bhoga) and powers (siddhi) are not alternatives but coexistent for the practitioner who has mastered the economy of bindu. This is the most subversive and most characteristic promise of left-handed tantrism that the Śivasaṃhitā articulates more clearly than any other text in the corpus.
