Muṇḍaka Upaniṣad · 3.2.20

यदाहुरम्बरीषं शुद्धमम्बरीषं तदाहुः । यो वेद तद्विदुर्विप्रा इहामृतत्वमद्युः

yad āhur ambarīṣaṃ śuddham ambarīṣaṃ tad āhuḥ | yo veda tad vidur viprā ihāmṛtatvam adyuḥ

What they call the immaculate, the pure, the stainless — whoever knows That, the wise say here he has attained immortality.

Brahman as absolute purity and the result of knowing It.

Ambarīṣam — the immaculate, stainless. Amṛta + ṛṣa, that which neither dies nor is wounded.

Śuddham — the pure, free from mixture. Brahman without qualities, without limitations.

Yo veda tat — whoever knows That. Direct knowledge, not theoretical.

Vidur viprāḥ — the wise say. Tradition confirms.

Iha amṛtatvam adyuḥ — here he has attained immortality. Not in another world, not after death. Liberation is immediate.

Knowledge of Brahman is immortality because it reveals there was never birth nor death, only the eternal Self.

Iha — here, now. Liberation is not escape but revelation of the always-present state.
