Prathama-prakaraṇam (Yama) · Verse 14
नेत्राभ्यां तां समालोक्य कृपया वाक्यमब्रवीत् । एह्येहि गार्गि सर्वज्ञे सर्वशास्त्रविशारदे ॥
netrābhyāṃ tāṃ samālokya kṛpayā vākyamabravīt | ehyehi gārgi sarvajñe sarvaśāstraviśārade ||
Yājñavalkya looks at Gārgī with compassion (kṛpayā) and calls her sarvajñe sarvaśāstraviśārade — omniscient, expert in all śāstras. This is remarkable: he is addressing a woman as spiritually and intellectually qualified to receive the highest teaching. The double ehyehi — come, come — mirrors the earlier uttiṣṭhottiṣṭha, now drawing her closer for intimate transmission. The warmth of this exchange contrasts with the formal setting of the sabhā.
