Sahajolī

The feminine counterpart of [[vajrolī]], sahajolī is the urogenital contraction practice adapted to the female body. The Haṭha Pradīpikā (3.80-81) describes it alongside amarolī as variants of the same seminal technique. Sahaja means “spontaneous, natural” — suggesting that this practice, correctly executed, is not forced but flows from the very nature of the body. As a mudrā, sahajolī operates upon [[vāyu]] and bindu, retaining vital energy and sublimating it toward the higher centers.
