Chapter 18 · Verse 45
विषयद्वीपिनो वीक्ष्य चकिताः शरणार्थिनः
viṣayadvīpino vīkṣya cakitāḥ śaraṇārthinaḥ | viśanti jhaṭiti kroḍaṃ nirodhaikāgr
In chapter 18 (Janaka’s liberation), verse 45 deepens the teaching of non-duality. In Advaita Vedānta philosophy, this verse of the Aṣṭāvakra Gītā reveals that freedom is inherent to the Self and requires no acquisition.
