Chapter 18 · Verse 46

निर्वासनं हरिं दृष्ट्वा तूष्णीं विषयदन्तिनः

nirvāsanaṃ hariṃ dṛṣṭvā tūṣṇīṃ viṣayadantinaḥ | palāyante na śaktāste sevante kṛ

In chapter 18 (Janaka’s liberation), verse 46 deepens the teaching of non-duality. In Advaita Vedānta philosophy, this verse of the Aṣṭāvakra Gītā reveals that freedom is inherent to the Self and requires no acquisition.
