Chapter 18 · Verse 88

निर्ममः शोभते धीरः समलोष्टाश्मकाञ्चनः

nirmamaḥ śobhate dhīraḥ samaloṣṭāśmakāñcanaḥ | subhinnahṛdayagranthirvinirdhūtar

In chapter 18 (Janaka’s liberation), verse 88 deepens the teaching of non-duality. In Advaita Vedānta philosophy, this verse of the Aṣṭāvakra Gītā reveals that freedom is inherent to the Self and requires no acquisition.
