द्रोणं च भीष्मं च जयद्रथं च कर्णं तथान्यानपि योधवीरान् | मया हतांस्त्वं जहि मा व्यथिष्ठा युद्ध्यस्व जेतासि रणे सपत्नान्
droṇaṃ ca bhīṣmaṃ ca jayadrathaṃ ca karṇaṃ tathānyān api yodha-vīrān | mayā hatāṃs tvaṃ jahi mā vyathiṣṭhā yudhyasva jetāsi raṇe sapatnān
Droṇa, Bhīṣma, Jayadratha, Karṇa and the other warrior heroes, already slain by Me, you kill them. Do not grieve; fight, you will conquer in battle the rivals.
The names of the main enemies. Droṇaḥ — the preceptor. Bhīṣmaḥ — the grandfather. Jayadrathaḥ — king of Sindhu, crucial for Abhimanyu’s death.
Karṇaḥ — Duryodhana’s best friend. Mayā hatān — slain by Me — time has already marked them. Tvaṃ jahi — you kill them — act as instrument.
Mā vyathiṣṭhāḥ — do not grieve — yudhyasva — fight — jetā asi — you will conquer — raṇe — in battle.
