Ṣaṣṭhopadeśaḥ (Dhyāna) · Verse 10

एवं ध्यानं समाख्यातं त्रिधा योगपरायणम् | ततः समाधिं वक्ष्यामि योगिनां मोक्षसाधनम् ||

evaṃ dhyānaṃ samākhyātaṃ tridhā yogaparāyaṇam | tataḥ samādhiṃ vakṣyāmi yogināṃ mokṣasādhanam ||

Closing the chapter on dhyāna. Three types described, all leading to yoga, all preparing for samādhi.

Transition to the final chapter: samādhi — absorption, the state of complete union. It is the eighth stage of classical yoga, the culmination of the entire process.

“Means of liberation” — samādhi is the direct door to mokṣa. In it, the individual dissolves into the universal.
