Saptamopadeśaḥ (Samādhi) · Verse 1

घेरण्ड उवाच — अथातः समाधियोगं वक्ष्ये योगिनां सुखसाधकम् | येन युक्तो महायोगी जीवन्मुक्तो भवेन्नरः ||

gheraṇḍa uvāca — athātaḥ samādhiyogaṃ vakṣye yogināṃ sukhasādhanam | yena yukto mahāyogī jīvanmuktop bhaved naraḥ ||

The seventh and final upadeśa begins: Samādhi — absorption, union, state of complete integration. It is the culmination of haṭha yoga.

Samādhi is not technique but state — the natural result of all preceding practices. When the body is purified, energy sealed, breathing controlled, and mind concentrated, samādhi arises by itself.

“Liberated in life” — the result of all chapters. Samādhi is the direct experience of freedom while the body still lives.
