Adhyatma

Pertaining to the inner Self; the spiritual dimension of being. In BG 10.32, Kṛṣṇa declares himself adhyātma among knowledges: the science of what is essential and enduring. Adhyātmika designates what belongs to the plane of consciousness, as opposed to adhibhūta (material) and adhidaiva (cosmic). Adhyātma is the path that turns the gaze inward, toward the ātman.
