मुनि
Muni
conceptoSilent sage, one whose knowledge expresses itself through observing silence. Muni derives from mauna (silence), and designates the interiorized seer who contemplates without reacting. In the Bhagavad Gītā 2.56, Kṛṣṇa defines the steadfast muni: «one who, amid the onslaught of desires, remains undisturbed, like the ocean that receives rivers without overflowing». The muni thus embodies [[samatā]] — equanimity born not of repression but of profound understanding.
