Guṇa-Traya-Vibhāga Yoga · Verse 1

श्रीभगवानुवाच | परं भूयः प्रवक्ष्यामि ज्ञानानां ज्ञानमुत्तमम् | यज्ज्ञात्वा मुनयः सर्वे परां सिद्धिमितो गताः

śrī-bhagavān uvāca | paraṃ bhūyaḥ pravakṣyāmi jñānānāṃ jñānam uttamam | yaj jñātvā munayaḥ sarve parāṃ siddhim ito gatāḥ

The Blessed Lord said: I shall declare to you again the supreme knowledge among all knowledges, knowing which all sages have attained supreme perfection from here.

This is “again” (bhūyaḥ) because knowledge has been taught before, but now Kṛṣṇa presents the uttama — supreme — knowledge: the guṇa-vidyā or science of the three qualities.

The parāṃ siddhim — supreme perfection — is liberation from the cycle of birth and death. This is not magical power but freedom from all limitation.

Munayaḥ — sages — indicates that this teaching has been verified by realized beings throughout history, not merely theoretical philosophy.
