यतेन्द्रियमनोबुद्धिर्मुनिर्मोक्षपरायणः | विगतेच्छाभयक्रोधो यः सदा मुक्त एव सः
yatendriya-mano-buddhir munir mokṣa-parāyaṇaḥ | vigata-icchā-bhaya-krodho yaḥ sadā mukta eva saḥ
Of controlled senses, mind and intellect, the muni whose supreme refuge is liberation, free from desire, fear and anger, is always liberated.
Synthesis of the liberated yogī. Yatendriya-mano-buddhiḥ — of controlled senses, mind and intellect — is triple dominion.
Mokṣa-parāyaṇaḥ — whose supreme refuge is liberation — indicates absolute priority. Vigata-icchā-bhaya-krodhaḥ — free from desire, fear and anger — is triple emotional freedom. Result: sadā muktaḥ eva saḥ — is always liberated, not just eventually. Liberation is a state, not a future event.
