इन्द्रियाणि मनो बुद्धिरस्याधिष्ठानमुच्यते | एतैर्विमोहयत्येष ज्ञानमावृत्य देहिनम्

indriyāṇi mano buddhir asyādhiṣṭhānam ucyate | etair vimohayaty eṣa jñānam āvṛtya dehinam

The senses, the mind and the intellect are said to be its dwelling. With these it confuses this embodied one, covering his knowledge.

Anatomy of the enemy. Adhiṣṭhānam — seat, dwelling — of desire are three: indriya (external senses), manas (mind), buddhi (intellect).

From outside to inside, desire infiltrates. Vimohayati — confuses, deludes — operates through these vehicles, covering (āvṛtya) the knowledge of the dehin — the embodied one, who inhabits the body. The enemy uses our own faculties against us.
