भोक्तारं यज्ञतपसां सर्वलोकमहेश्वरम् | सुहृदं सर्वभूतानां ज्ञात्वा मां शान्तिमृच्छति
bhoktāraṃ yajña-tapasāṃ sarva-loka-maheśvaram | suhṛdaṃ sarva-bhūtānāṃ jñātvā māṃ śāntim ṛcchati
Knowing Me as the enjoyer of sacrifices and austerities, the great Lord of all worlds, the friend of all beings, one reaches peace.
Conclusion of the chapter: vision of Kṛṣṇa. Bhoktāram — as enjoyer — the sacrifices are for Him, not for intermediate deities.
Yajña-tapasām — of sacrifices and austerities — He is the final recipient. Sarva-loka-maheśvaram — great Lord of all worlds — indicates omnipresence. Suhṛdam — friend, well-wisher — describes personal relationship. Jñātvā — knowing — thus, one reaches śāntim — peace. The chapter ends where it should: in relationship with the Lord, not in philosophical abstraction.
