The visible world is nothing but seeing itself; therefore there is no attachment whatsoever. What is seen is not different from you. Where, then, is the illusion of multiplicity? Chapter 11 presses the non-dual insight into immediate experience: the object is not apart from the awareness in which it appears. Attachment depends on the belief in a real other; when the other is recognized as the same cit, the knot of desire loosens.
