Mokṣa-Sannyāsa Yoga · Verse 11
For the embodied it is not possible to abandon actions completely. But one who is an abandoner of the fruits of action, he is called renouncer.
Practical impossibility: deha-vadbhiḥ — by those who have body. Na śakyam — it is not possible. Aśeṣataḥ — completely, totally. Even to exist is action.
The solution: karma-phala-tyāgī — abandoner of fruits of action. That person (saḥ) is called (abhidhīyate) tyāgī. Real renunciation is internal, not external flight.
