The basis, the agent, the instrument of various kinds, and the various separate efforts, and also the divine, as fifth here.

The five factors:

1. Adhiṣṭhāna — the basis, the field of action (the kṣetra).
2. Kartā — the agent, the kṣetrajña.
3. Karaṇam — the instruments, the indriyas and buddhi.
4. Ceṣṭāḥ — the efforts, the multiple actions.
5. Daivam — the divine, the transcendent factor (grace, destiny).

The jīva is only one of these; not the sole agent.
