Knowledge, the knowable, the knower — triple is the impulse to action. The instrument, the action, the agent — triple is the grouping of action.

Tripartite analysis. Karma-codanā — impulse/incitement to act: jñānam (knowledge), jñeyam (object of knowledge), parijñātā (complete knower).

Karma-saṅgrahaḥ — grouping of action: karaṇam (instrument), karma (action itself), kartā (agent). Each of these is tri-vidhaḥ — triple according to guṇas. The next section details each one.
