For the yogi in whom the awakening of śakti has arisen and who has abandoned all karma, the spontaneous state arises of itself.

This verse describes the natural result of the process:

Utpanna-śakti-bodha — in whom the awakening (bodha) of śakti has arisen (utpanna).It is not mental effort but energetic awakening.Active kunḍalinī transforms consciousness.

Tyakta-niḥśeṣa-karmaṇaḥ — who has abandoned (tyakta) all (niḥśeṣa) karma.This has two levels of meaning:

1. Practical: you have stopped generating new karma through identification with actions
2. Esoteric: stored karma (saṃcita) is burned in the fire of awakening

Sahajāvasthā svayam eva prajāyate — the spontaneous state arises by itself.It is not manufactured or achieved;it is simply revealed when the obstacles are removed.

Svayam eva — “by itself”, emphasizes that sahaja is not produced.It is the natural condition, always present but veiled.The practices remove the veils;the natural state reveals itself.

The Bihar School notes that this verse represents the transition from effort (sādhana) to grace (prasāda).The yogi does the practices;liberation comes by itself.
