कर्मयोग Karma Yoga · Verse 30
मयि सर्वाणि कर्माणि संन्यस्याध्यात्मचेतसा | निराशीर्निर्ममो भूत्वा युध्यस्व विगतज्वरः
mayi sarvāṇi karmāṇi saṃnyasyādhyātma-cetasā | nirāśīr nirmamo bhūtvā yudhyasva vigata-jvaraḥ
Renouncing all actions in Me, with mind focused on the Self, without expectations, without sense of ‘mine,’ free of fever — fight!
Kṛṣṇa synthesizes karma yoga in a direct instruction:
Mayi sarvāṇi karmāṇi saṃnyasya — renouncing all actions in Me. Not abandoning action but dedicating it, offering it. Each act as an offering.
Adhyātma-cetasā — with the mind (cetas) directed toward the Self (adhyātma). Interiorized consciousness, not scattered among objects.
Nirāśīḥ — without hopes, without expectations about the fruits.
Nirmamaḥ — without sense of “mine,” without possessiveness.
Vigata-jvaraḥ — free of fever. Jvara is the burning agitation of desire, anxiety, internal conflict. The feverish mind wants, fears, doubts.
Yudhyasva — fight! The command is active, not passive. Not to withdraw from the world but to engage fully, yet with a transformed attitude.
This verse combines devotion (mayi), self-knowledge (adhyātma), and action (yudhyasva) in an integral formula.
