Ātma-Saṃyama Yoga · Verse 43
तत्र तं बुद्धिसंयोगं लभते पौर्वदेहिकम् | यतते च ततो भूयः संसिद्धौ कुरुनन्दन
tatra taṃ buddhi-saṃyogaṃ labhate paurva-dehikam | yatate ca tato bhūyaḥ saṃsiddhau kuru-nandana
There one regains the intellectual connection from the previous life, and strives again toward perfection, oh delight of the Kurus!
Paurva-dehika — “from the previous body” — the yoga-bhraṣṭa recovers buddhi-saṃyoga (connection/intellectual knowledge) from past lives. It is like restarting a game with saved progress.
Tato bhūyaḥ — “from there, again.” The impulse toward saṃsiddhi (perfection, success) continues. Previous effort was not in vain.
