Brāhmaṇavagga · The Brahmin · Gāthā 423
Yo ceva brāhmaṇoti vuccati, so ceva brāhmaṇo hoti; So ceva brāhmaṇoti vuccati, so eva brāhmaṇo hoti.
Yo ceva brāhmaṇoti vuccati, so ceva brāhmaṇo hoti; so ceva brāhmaṇoti vuccati, so eva brāhmaṇo hoti.
Who is called Brahman, is Brahman; who is called Brahman, is truly Brahman.
The Dhammapada closes with verse 423 — the last of the Brāhmaṇavagga and of the complete text. Thirteen thousand eight hundred ninety-nine verses in other texts, 423 here, all pointing to the same center.
