Ṣaṣṭhopadeśaḥ (Dhyāna) · Verse 1

घेरण्ड उवाच — अथातो ध्यानयोगं वक्ष्ये योगिनां सुखसाधकम् | येन युक्तो महायोगी जीवन्मुक्तो भवेन्नरः ||

gheraṇḍa uvāca — athāto dhyānayogaṃ vakṣye yogināṃ sukhasādhanam | yena yukto mahāyogī jīvanmuktop bhaved naraḥ ||

The sixth upadeśa begins: Dhyāna — meditation. After preparing the body with āsana, sealing energy with mudrā, and working prāṇa, now the mind focuses on an object.

Dhyāna is the seventh stage of classical yoga, preceded by dhāraṇā (concentration) and followed by samādhi (absorption).

The result is the same: jīvan-mukti, liberation in life. All stages lead to the same destination; they simply operate at different levels of being.
