Saptamopadeśaḥ (Samādhi) · Verse 5
ध्यानमेवं विधं कृत्वा योगी योगपरायणः | समाधिं लभते योगी ब्रह्मण्येव प्रजायते ||
dhyānam evaṃ vidhaṃ kṛtvā yogī yogaparāyaṇaḥ | samādhiṃ labhate yogī brahmaṇy eva prajāyate ||
Result of Dhyāna yoga: samādhi and orientation toward Brahman. Deep meditation naturally leads to the state of absorption.
The description is brief because the process was already detailed in the previous chapter. Here it is presented as one of the six paths to samādhi.
“Turns toward Brahman” — absorption in the deity leads to recognition of the universal deity, the formless Brahman.
