Saptamopadeśaḥ (Samādhi) · Verse 8

नादे लीनं मनः कृत्वा योगी योगपरायणः | समाधिं लभते योगी ब्रह्मण्येव प्रजायते ||

nāde līnaṃ manaḥ kṛtvā yogī yogaparāyaṇaḥ | samādhiṃ labhate yogī brahmaṇy eva prajāyate ||

Result of Nāda yoga: samādhi and orientation toward Brahman. Sound is the bait; the silence behind the sound is the ocean.

When the mind is completely submerged in nāda, the separation between listener and sound disappears. Only the vibration of reality remains.

This is the path of musicians, of those who love sound. Nāda leads them beyond sound, to the silence from which all sound emerges.
