Śivasaṃhitā 4.12

The verb prabhavanty—‘they flourish, prosper, become powerful’—describes the result for those who unite (saṃyuktaḥ) with this vidhi. The swiftness of the result is underscored by acireṇa, ‘without delay, in a short time.’

Prabhavanti comes from pra-bhū, ‘to flourish, to manifest power,’ a root connoting not merely success but the radiation of capacity. Vidhi here resumes its sense of ‘prescribed method,’ connecting with the term’s use in earlier verses about the guru’s transmission. Acireṇa (‘without delay’) is an instrumental adverb that appears frequently in promises of rapid results across haṭhayogic texts.

The insistence on secrecy (rahasyam) at the opening of a new section is significant: it signals that what follows belongs to a more restricted category of knowledge than what preceded it. The qualification ‘most inaccessible Yoga’ (atiguhyatama) suggests the text is about to reveal teachings reserved for advanced practitioners, most likely concerning the awakening of Kuṇḍalinī.
