Chapter 18 · Verse 52
उच्छृङ्खलाप्यकृतिका स्थितिर्धीरस्य राजते
ucchṛṅkhalāpyakṛtikā sthitirdhīrasya rājate | na tu saspṛhacittasya śāntirmūḍhas
In chapter 18 (Janaka’s liberation), verse 52 deepens the teaching of non-duality. In Advaita Vedānta philosophy, this verse of the Aṣṭāvakra Gītā reveals that freedom is inherent to the Self and requires no acquisition.
