Ātma-Saṃyama Yoga · Verse 14
प्रशान्तात्मा विगतभीर्ब्रह्मचारिव्रते स्थितः | मनः संयम्य मच्चित्तो युक्त आसीत मत्परः
praśāntātmā vigata-bhīr brahmacāri-vrate sthitaḥ | manaḥ saṃyamya mac-citto yukta āsīta mat-paraḥ
With serene mind, free from fear, established in the vow of celibacy (brahmacarya), controlling the mind, with consciousness fixed on Me, the yogi should sit united to Me, making Me their supreme goal.
Practical instructions: praśāntātmā (serene mind), vigata-bhī (free from fear — fear disturbs concentration), brahmacāri-vrata (the vow of brahmacarya, control of vital energy including sexual).
Mac-cittaḥ (mindful of Me) and mat-paraḥ (making Me their supreme goal) reveal the devotional dimension. This is Dhyāna Yoga but oriented toward Krishna as the meditative object.
