In chapter 2 (Aṣṭāvakra’s instructions on the Self), verse 23 deepens the teaching of non-duality. In Advaita Vedānta philosophy, this verse of the Aṣṭāvakra Gītā reveals that freedom is inherent to the Self and requires no acquisition.
