रुद्राणां शङ्करश्चास्मि वित्तेशो यक्षरक्षसाम् | वसूनां पावकश्चास्मि मेरुः शिखरिणामहम्
rudrāṇāṃ śaṅkaraś cāsmi vitteśo yakṣa-rakṣasām | vasūnāṃ pāvakaś cāsmi meruḥ śikhariṇām aham
Of the Rudras I am Śiva, the lord of wealth of the Yakṣas and Rākṣasas; of the Vasus I am fire, and of the mountains I am Meru.
Rudrāṇām — eleven forms of Rudra — śaṅkaraḥ — Śiva, the benevolent. Vitteśaḥ — Kuvera, lord of wealth — among yakṣas and rākṣasas.
Vasūnām — eight Vasus (elemental deities) — pāvakaḥ — Agni, the purifying fire. Śikhariṇām — of the mountains with peaks — meruḥ — Mount Meru, axis mundi of Hindu cosmology.
Each category has its supreme representative, which is a vibhūti of the Lord.
