अर्जुन उवाच | दृष्ट्वेदं मानुषं रूपं तव सौम्यं जनार्दन | इदानीमस्मि संवृत्तः सचेताः प्रकृतिं गतः

arjuna uvāca | dṛṣṭvedaṃ mānuṣaṃ rūpaṃ tava saumyaṃ janārdana | idānīm asmi saṃvṛttaḥ sa-cetāḥ prakṛtiṃ gataḥ

Arjuna said: Having seen this human form of Yours, gentle, oh Janārdana, now I am composed, of steady mind, and returned to my nature.

Arjuna expresses relief upon seeing the gentle form. Dṛṣṭvā idam — having seen this. Mānuṣam rūpam — human form — no longer the universal colossus.

Saumyam — gentle, pleasing. Janārdana — oh tormentor of the people (demons).

Idānīm — now. Saṃvṛttaḥ — composed, restored. Sa-cetāḥ — with steady mind. Prakṛtim gataḥ — returned to nature — his normal state.
