Viśvarūpa-Darśana Yoga · Verse 52

श्रीभगवानुवाच | सुदुर्दर्शमिदं रूपं दृष्टवानसि यन्मम | देवा अप्यस्य रूपस्य नित्यं दर्शनकाङ्क्षिणः

śrī-bhagavān uvāca | sudurdarśam idaṃ rūpaṃ dṛṣṭavān asi yan mama | devā apy asya rūpasya nityaṃ darśana-kāṅkṣiṇaḥ

The Blessed Lord said: This form of Mine which you have seen is very difficult to see. Even the gods always desire to see this form.

Sudurdarśam — very difficult to see. Idam rūpam — this form — the viśvarūpa. Dṛṣṭavān asi — you have seen.

Devāḥ api — even the gods — they also aspire. Asya rūpasya — of this form. Nityam — always, constantly.

Darśana-kāṅkṣiṇaḥ — desirous of seeing — the desire of the devas for the divine vision.
