Kṣetra-Kṣetrajña Yoga · Verse 11

मयि चानन्ययोगेन भक्तिरव्यभिचारिणी | विविक्तदेशसेवित्वमरतिर्जनसंसदि

mayi cānanya-yogena bhaktir avyabhicāriṇī | vivikta-deśa-sevitvam aratir jana-saṃsadi

And devotion to Me with an exclusive yoga, without division, enjoyment of solitary places, distaste for the assembly of people.

The transition from ethical virtues to devotional practice. Ananya-yoga means union without other object — complete dedication to the Divine.

Avyabhicāriṇī bhakti is devotion without deviation, constant and unswerving. This quality of attention is both the means and the fruit of practice.

Vivikta-deśa-sevitva — seeking solitude — creates the conditions for interiority. Social engagement (jana-saṃsad) disperses attention; retreat gathers it.
