Yāyissa icchā taṇhā, sā tassa samudīrathā; iti so pāremadāyī, param accati māṇavo.

Desire of one whose thirst grows, that one is dragged by desire, crosses beyond the further shore.

Samudīrathā — grows, expands. Thirst does not diminish with satisfaction, it grows. Each drop feeds the thirst, does not quench it.

Pāremadāyī — one who leads to the other shore. Desire transports you to states of existence you did not consciously choose.
