Vijñāna Yoga · Verse 13

त्रिभिर्गुणमयैर्भावैरेभिः सर्वमिदं जगत् | मोहितं नाभिजानाति मामेभ्यः परमव्ययम्

tribhir guṇa-mayair bhāvair ebhiḥ sarvam idaṃ jagat | mohitaṃ nābhijānāti mām ebhyaḥ param avyayam

By these three modalities constituted by the guṇas, all this world is deluded. It does not know Me, who am superior to these guṇas and immutable.

The bhāva (states) are guṇa-maya — “made of guṇa.” The world (jagat) is mohita (deluded, confused) by them — identifying with one or another guṇa.

Result: na abhijānāti — does not know mām (Me), who is param (superior) to the guṇa and avyaya (immutable, not subject to change). Ignorance is not recognizing the transcendent Lord.
